Eric Theatres was a beloved regional movie theater chain from the days before reclining seats and digital projection. They were found all across eastern PA and into New Jersey, including in the K-Mart Plaza on the Scranton-Carbondale Highway, in Dickson City, conveniently located right between the Zack Periwinkle's and Top Dog arcades...a kid's dream come true! Eric Theatres were also sprinkled throughout Allentown and the Philadelphia suburbs. Stale popcorn and small, uncomfortable seats were good enough for us!
