Fittingly built on the grounds formerly occupied by a mental hospital, on the border of Upper Darby and Clifton Heights, the Bazaar was a sort of unholy hybrid of Wal-Mart, indoor flea market, circus sideshow and shopping mall, where you could get everything you needed and everything you never knew you'd need. Want a beer? Need a key made? Looking for the new Bruce album on 8-track? And of course, you had to see the suit of armor, the player piano, "Mike" the monkey and Iggy the iguana. If you were there, you'll never forget it.
